Knott's Physics Adventure
Average trip length: 48-60 hours
Join us on this physics expedition and learn how physics is used to create a roller coaster. Choose to spend a day at Knott’s Berry Farm where you will also take part in a physics workshop led by their esteemed education program staff. During this workshop, your students will wander the parks in small groups discussing Newton’s three laws of motion, putting them to the test through hands on experiments. Students will learn how physics was used to develop some of their favorite rides and possibly experience some of those rides during their workshop. When not in the workshop, students will have free time to explore the park in their chaperone groups.
After a restful night in a LA area hotel, we will visit the California Science Center and tour the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Students will learn about life in space, the missions of the Endeavour, and how this massive space shuttle was transported to the science center. Students will then have time to tour the rest of the California Science Center in their chaperone groups.
