Colorado River Adventure
Average trip length: 36 hours
Climb aboard the motor coach as we head to northern Arizona. Your first day is spent visiting two or three of the following venue options. Options include Montezuma Well, Montezuma Castle, Walnut Canyon, Sunset Crater Volcano, Bearizona Wildlife Park, and Lowell Observatory. Choose the venue that best matches your curriculum goals, or ask us which is most popular with our students.
After a restful night and a complimentary breakfast at a Page hotel, hop on a boat at Glen Canyon Dam and float the calm waters of the infamous Colorado River. During your float you will travel the unique curves of Horseshoe Bend, briefly stop to view petroglyphs carved into the canyon walls, and learn the importance of the Colorado River to the American southwest. Your rafting experience ends at Lee’s Ferry Boat Ramp where you will indulge in a Subway lunch.
Making your way back to Flagstaff, you will stop at Cameron Trading Post for souvenir shopping. Your final stop will be ruins at Wupatki National Monument. Your instructor will walk you around the dwellings teaching about the history and uses of the different rooms and areas. After a quick dinner in Flagstaff, we will head safely back to school.
