Northern Arizona Quest
Average trip length:
13-14 hours
Explore northern Arizona with your students on this day long adventure. Choose between Walnut Canyon and Lowell Observatory for your first stop. At Walnut Canyon, students will hike down the Island Trail to get a close look at the incredible ruins and the people who lived there thousands of years ago.
At Lowell Observatory, students will visit the Giovale Open Deck Observatory where they can look at the sun through a telescope. They will also learn about the historic telescopes at the observatory and how they are used. The program will end with an interactive group science experiment.
Spend the afternoon at Beariziona Wildlife Park. After driving through the park on Project Exploration buses, students will get the chance to tour the walk-through portion of the park and watch a variety of feedings and animal presentations. Dinner will be at Canyonlands, Bearizona’s incredible restaurant before heading back to school.
