Old West Quest

Average trip length:
13-14 hours

Join us for an unforgettable day exploring the wild history of the old west. Our first stop is Bisbee, Arizona where we will visit the Copper Queen Mine. Here students are fitted with a hard hat and headlamp as they head 1,500 feet down into the old workings of the mine. Guided by former miners of the Copper Queen, students learn about life in the mines and the copper, turquoise, silver, and other metals discovered in the mine. Enjoy a quick drive-through tour learning about the rise and fall of the historical town of Bisbee as we head to Tombstone.
Known as the town too tough to die, Tombstone is home to the infamous OK Corral shootout.

Students will watch a reenactment of the gunfight where 30 shots were fired in just 30 seconds. Take a ride on the stagecoach for a quick tour and learn the unique history of the town. We will stop for dinner at a local pizzeria before safely driving back to school.
