Air & Space Quest

Average trip length: 12 hours

Take your students on an exciting day trip to southern Arizona and tour the Pima Air and Space Museum and Kit Peak National Observatory. With nearly 300 aircrafts on display, Pima Air and Space provides a unique opportunity for students to learn forces of flight and how it pertains to aircraft design. The museum is home to some of the most historically significant and technically advanced aircrafts ever produced.

At Kit Peak, students will embark on a guided tour visiting one of the three telescopes designated for public viewing. Students will have the opportunity to safely view the sun through a telescope that blocks 99.99% of the brightness. A visit to the University of Arizona’s Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium can be substituted for either location for a customized trip.
